Public-Private Partnership for Resilient, Sustainable  Infrastructure Assets

About ARES Institute

Action on Resilience and Environmental Sustainability

ARES Institute is a public-private partnership with a mission to finance and catalyze U.S. infrastructure projects, focusing on resilience and environmental sustainability (RES). Headquartered in New York, ARES operates as a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization that strategically brings together government funding, private investment, and industry expertise to address critical infrastructure needs.

By aligning public sector mandates with private sector innovation and capital, ARES plays a pivotal role in overcoming financing gaps, accelerating project development, and ensuring that essential infrastructure projects—such as renewable energy, sustainable transportation, and climate-resilient urban systems—are built to meet the highest standards of environmental sustainability and long-term resilience.

Our Mission

Our goal is to incorporate sustainability and resilience standards into infrastructure development by utilizing the most innovative financing strategies available today. These strategies include accessing tax-exempt markets, obtaining green bond certifications, and capitalizing on state and federal grants and incentives. Additionally, we engage with tax equity investors and reach out to international investors with a focus on sustainable development.
